SUNDERLAND SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN BOARD INFORMATION
SSCB is the key statutory mechanism for agreeing how the relevant organisation in the city will cooperate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to monitor the effectiveness of their work.
The work of SSCB contributes to the wider activity of the Children’s Trust in achieving the five Every Child Matters outcomes for all children in Sunderland. SSCB has particular responsibilities and priorities within the Staying Safe Outcome. Sunderland Safeguarding Children Board has contributed to the comprehensive assessment of need which will be used to develop The 15 year Commissioning Strategy 2010 -2025.
