The Family and Parenting Team provide the first port of call for parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-19 who would like some support.

Bringing up a baby, a child or a young person is a difficult job. They aren’t born with a set of instructions and their needs change as they grow and develop.

A wealth of Parenting support is available across the City, including fun, engagement activities where parents / carers can brush up their skills and meet other parents.

There are free Parenting programmes, which allow adults to access a longer intervention and parent support groups, which meet the specific needs of parents / carers and children / young people.
