ACHIEVING ECONOMIC WELL-BEING

When the Children and Young People's Plan was being developed, we found out that there were some things stopping young people in Sunderland having enough money

• some disabled young people don't get the chance to look after their own money
• some young people leave school and don't go to college, get a  job or do any training
• some young people can't find a good place to live

To improve things the Children's Trust will

• give disabled young people a chance to look after their own money and do work experience
• help all 16 and 17 year olds carry on learning, do some training or get a job when they leave school
